Obsessions – A Self Portrait | Exhibition by Openhouse and Mango Home for MDW 2026

The first time I joined an Openhouse event was in 2019 when visiting the private home of Christian Pizzinini and Antonio Scolari, have a look here: Openhouse event at the private home of Christian and Antonio Openhouse, with the support of Mango Home, celebrated the launch of their latest Issue with an exhibition during the Salone. “Obsessions: A Self Portrait”. Conceived by Inma Buendía as the central concept of Issue 25, explored the fine line between passion and obsession, and those who walk it.

The installation, curated by Pernille Vest, unfolded throughout the space in ten distinct sets. Each composition brought together pieces that complemented one another, creating layered scenes that felt almost like frames of everyday life. With works by a range of artists, the exhibition reflected on the many forms and expressions of obsessions, as introduced by Inma Buendía for Issue 25. The presentation moved between different shapes, tones and atmospheres, revealing how these fascinations take place in our surroundings and quietly connect to more personal narratives.
