Minimal sculptures by Neshka at Boon Room Paris

After visiting Boon Room again last January, and their different shows in both Milan and Copenhagen, see my Instagram highlights for those. I am looking forward visiting again next January when I will be in Paris for Maison & Objet and Paris design week. One of the latest artists at Boon Room I am looking forward to see the work of is Neshka, a multidisciplinary artist and designer working between fine art and object design.

Neshka’s work is quiet and material-focused, with an emphasis on form, balance and surface. Her process is intuitive, guided by simplicity and quality rather than fixed concepts. She works across sculpture, painting, drawing and product design, drawing inspiration from architecture, abstract art and nature. Her works are finely crafted, yet remain direct and honest in their use of materials.

At Boon Room Neshka shows large-scale sculptures made from recycled, charred cedar wood. The material comes from driftwood collected on the West Coast of Canada. The charring process brings out the texture of the wood and gives each piece depth and character. More info at Boon Room
