When in Paris for Maison & Objet you don’t want to miss the simultaneous Paris Déco Off and Paris Déco Home, where you can explore the latest trends in interior design. These events were held across numerous galleries, stores, and special locations, with Hôtel de l’Industrie at Saint-Germain-des-Prés standing out as a key venue. The historic building hosted around 12 renowned design brands showcasing their collections across multiple floors. I had a few brands marked which I thought were interesting but there was so much more to see, ánd skip, as there is something to discover for every taste.
At the entrance I pictured the corner above where I thought the flat woven rug from Vandra Rugs ‘Pietra collection’ totally fitted the space and looked to have been laying there for years. I love flat woven rugs, like the rugs from the Beni X Frama collection during the previous Paris Deco home edition.

Pietra Collection
Inspired by the iconic Malmstenbutiken,an interior design store in Stockholm. Pietra is a new rug collection designed by Ami Katz. Rooted in the shop’s heritage, the design features a symmetrical chequered pattern with strategically deleted lines, offering a modern graphic touch in black and seamlessly combining the old and new in interior design. The collection, in various colourways, is available in both an exclusive knotted pile or a röllakan version, referring to flat weave woven fabrics.
