Today, we’re unveiling this chic modern farmhouse home. Taking a look at how senior designer, Erika Barczak, designed ‘outside the lines‘ of its stark-white walls.

Design Objective: Create a huge impact with subtle changes to the existing layout. Uniting the homeowner’s traditional furniture pieces with the fresh whites, bursts of fun colors, and modern design elements.

The homeowners’ previous home was traditional and full of Tuscan-inspired pieces (a far stretch from the crisp white walls that they were moving into). Thus, Erika creatively found ways to mix in some of the existing furniture pieces: including the breakfast wing chairs, dining room table, host chairs, and study chair. These pieces acted as great anchors, tying in some of the warm, cozy elements our clients treasured with the bright, semi-open floor plan of their new contemporary home.

A fresh color palette, striking wall-coverings, and fun printed pillows were sprinkled throughout this chic home. Along, with a mix of warming jewel tones and specks of gold.

Take a peek at this stunning Houston- Heights Home: The perfect blend of tradition and fresh, modernized design elements. It’s truly inspiring!
