Visiting Nabi Interior Design | Made in Italy Craftsmanship with Contemporary Calm
On my first day in Napoli I wanted to see some of the beaches, and went to ‘Posillipo’ one of the most exclusive and green residential districts situated on a hillside in western Napoli, before heading to the Chiaia district. You might have seen the beautiful Palazzo Don’Anna and the Bagno Sirena a city beach at the foot of the beautiful building I posted on my Instagram. From there I took the bus and followed the coastline with great views over the sea all the way to Piazza Vittoria. From where I walked to Santa Lucia for some more sightseeing.
Heading back to Vomero I walked towards the funicolare Which I must say quickly became my favourite transport, and lucky me, my b&b was within walking distance of some of the lines. While strolling through Chiaia I discovered an amazing table in the showroom of Nabi Design, and you really loved the image I snapped from outside!
Visiting Nabi Interior Design
Later that the week I got in touch with Biancamaria of Nabi Design, who invited me over to come and see more of their store and studio. We had a great chat over coffee, after which she showed me the showroom, with its beautiful kitchen design, furniture and art, including the part where I’d seen the table.
This particular space was a former barbershop that they’d partially preserved. I thought the exposed design in here perfectly fitted the large metal windows and the raw walls. In a separate room, an even older interior with the original ceiling panels and wall coverings from the 1970s had been preserved, creating a unique setting for a bedroom.
Made in Italy craftsmanship with contemporary calm
Nabi Interior Design is a Naples based studio co founded by interior designer Biancamaria Santangelo and stylist Anna Palladino. The studio combines Made in Italy craftsmanship with a refined, contemporary calm that highlights natural materials, light, and architectural balance. With over twenty five years of experience, Biancamaria approaches every space through material dialogue and visual continuity. Stone, glass, and wood are key elements in her projects, selected for both their tactile qualities and their ability to reflect light and atmosphere. Each surface and texture is chosen to create a sense of timeless simplicity rather than decoration.
In Nabi’s work, the line between inside and outside often fades, with large openings framing the landscape and bespoke furnishings and sculptural details creating serene interiors that reflect a search for authenticity and balance, where craftsmanship and natural beauty shape spaces that are both functional and rich in atmosphere. Their portfolio includes private homes overlooking the sea in Posillipo, villas in Cilento, and international commissions such as the Wave’s End House on Long Island.
