5 Fashion House installations at Milan Design week 2025

When thinking about design, meeting new designers and seeing new collections of established brands in the most exciting way, Milan Design week is without any doubt my favourite week of the year. Blurring the lines between clothing, interiors, and art, each year more Fashion Houses present innovative installations and collaborations. I only visited the ones I was invited to, on the press day or with an appointment, waiting times could otherwise be up to 2 hours.

Many fashion brands gave special goodie bags to their visitors. Loewe gave a paper file folder with a beautiful brochure, which for me personally was a super nice souvenir to bundle the brochures of Milan Design Week 2025 once at home. The installations of the Fashion Houses are popular with the fashion lovers of the specific brand too. And from what I heard there was also the phenomenon of souvenir hunters. Videos with where to score the souvenirs went around, the stool that Etro gave away can still be found on Ebay today.

Loewe – “Teapots” at Palazzo Isimbardi

Loewe’s installation at the historic Palazzo Isimbardi featured 25 artist designed teapots. The project dedicated to supporting craftsmanship initiated by Jonathan Anderson, the collection of teapots was specially developed by 25 artists and architects who worked and imagined the sculptural form of the vessel according to the various traditions of tea production and culture around the world. In the sunny garden the orangerie had a tea gathering set up.

Gucci – “Bamboo Encounters” at Chiostri di San Simpliciano

Bamboo Encounters, an exhibition celebrating the enduring legacy of bamboo in the House’s design history and identity. Set against the backdrop of Milan’s 16th-century Chiostri di San Simpliciano. Bamboo Encounters draws inspiration from the House’s pioneering use of bamboo. Building upon this rich legacy, the exhibition will feature seven unique contributions from contemporary designers of diverse backgrounds and generations. They were all invited to reinterpret the material in a daring and unexpected way.

Loro Piana – “La Prima Notte di Quiete” at Cortile della Seta

Loro Piana’s collaboration with Dimore Studio resulted in “La Prima Notte di Quiete,” an immersive installation that transported visitors into a serene, cinematic world. On the blog I previously I showed the collaboration between Dimore and Loro Piana, find this and more here: Milan design week 2025

Antonio Marras

Always on my list Nonostante Marras the store of Antonio Marras. This year’s exhibition:’Chi ama’an immersive journey through fashion, art and design. Featuring installations, exclusive furniture by Antonio Marras + Nodo Italia, and a limited-edition ready-to-wear capsule collection, the event explores memory and innovation.

”Chi ama la maestra” was this year’s art installation by Antonio Marras that reinterprets the concept of a classroom through puppets and artistic suggestions. An ode to knowledge, teaching as an act of love, and the collective memory that spans generations. Walking through the classroom we noticed eacht puppet had written its personal fears, which gave the exhibition a bit of a fraught emotion.

I will make a separate post about Antonio Marras as I have made many pictures I love to show on the blog.

Hermès

Hermès presented a new scenography conceived by Charlotte Macaux Perelman, architect and artistic director of the Hermès home collections together with Alexis Fabry. At La Pelota the new creations could be discovered in suspended, almost colourless structures that projected a luminous glow onto the floor.
