Ceramic Curtain Wall Lamps by Liyang Zhang

A few years ago I wrote about the home of Maggie Holladay, owner of Claude Home, have a look here: The light East Village studio of Maggie Holladay  THe former fashion editor for i-D Magazine, turned her hobby of vintage shopping into a full-time job and created Claude Home. Since then her collection of vintage finds only became bigger and is now sold next to the work of curated artists at Claude. Strolling through the collection I found the ceramic wall lamps by Liyang Zhang, I think they look fantastic and that’s why I wanted to show them to you today.

A beautiful small piece of decor

Liyang Zhang is a Brooklyn-based architect and artist whose work focuses on material, proportion, and light. She creates objects that are imaginative, earthy, and captivating. I’m totally in love with the simplicity of her designs, the mix of textures, and the glaze.

The wall lamp functions as a beautiful small piece of decor, mounted on the wall, combining glazed ceramic with a silk drape that adds softness and style. I see and love many beautiful designs, but I fell in love with this lamp immediately; it’s simply so serene and beautiful. Available through Claude
