After joining Skandinavisk for breakfast last june in Copenhagen, we were introduced to several new fragrances. I previously showed you the Courtyard candle in my 3days of Design highlight During the breakfast Shaun of Skandinavisk introduced us not only to the courtyard candle but also showed us some upcoming releases. Which also brought me back to one of my first blogposts about Skandinavisk
Including Stuga (Swedish for Cabin) a fragrance with notes such as birch bark and woodland mosses, nutmeg and incense. Stuga is inspired by the ritual Scandinavians have to retreat to remote cabins to enjoy the slower pace of life and reconnect with nature and themselves.
A great fragrance to remember beautiful Summer days outside and maybe slowly prepare for autumn, the colour of the candle certainly has that golden glow I love so much and in my opinion fits every season. Personally I am not ready at all for any autumn sign yet and I can’t wait to enjoy a bit more of Summer during an upcoming mediterranean trip, or two in the next months.
AURORA, inspired by the northern light
It has been ten years ago a few bloggers and me collaborated with Skandinavisk on one of their scents, in one of those early blogposts Skandinavisk asked me: what is the ‘Sense of Scandinavia’ for you? I talked about some trips I had made to Scandinavia and how I never experienced to see the Northern light. The new ‘Aurora’ brought me back to this early post from 2016 : Sense of Scandinavia
After the summer launch of Stuga, Skandinavisk has another launch coming up with ‘Aurora’ (latin for dawn) a fragrance inspired by the aurora borealis. Capturing the rare beauty of the northern lights, the scent reflects nature’s own light show, moving across the Nordic night sky in colour and motion. vAurora is described as a luminous and ethereal fragrance. Stepping outside their usual palette of strictly Nordic notes, Skandinavisk has blended sandalwood and juniper berries with jasmine and lime.
The fragrance is available in three candle sizes, including a two-wick edition, two diffuser formats, and a gift set, available from September 2025
